Christian W. Francis

Founding Attorney | Pennsylvania Personal Injury Lawyer & Criminal Defense Attorney

Christian W. Francis is the founding attorney of Francis Law and an experienced trial lawyer representing clients throughout Scranton, Lackawanna County, northeastern Pennsylvania, and across Pennsylvania. His practice focuses on personal injury, car accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful injury claims, DUI defense, criminal defense, and civil litigation.

As a Pennsylvania personal injury lawyer, Christian represents people injured in car accidents, truck and tractor-trailer accidents, slip and fall accidents, dangerous property conditions, defective product cases, and medical malpractice claims. He handles cases involving serious injuries and works to hold insurance companies, businesses, healthcare providers, and other responsible parties accountable for the harm they cause.

Christian also represents clients facing criminal charges and DUI offenses throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. His criminal defense practice includes misdemeanor and felony charges, DUI cases, and other serious criminal matters in Pennsylvania state courts and federal court. He has handled trials, contested hearings, and appeals before the Pennsylvania Superior Court on behalf of both civil and criminal clients.

Before founding Francis Law, Christian worked for prominent civil litigation and defense firms, where he represented insurance companies, hospitals, and a multinational transportation company in significant litigation matters. His experience defending insurers and major organizations gives him valuable insight into how insurance companies and corporate defendants investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and defend personal injury claims. Today, he uses that defense-side experience to build stronger cases for injured clients and their families.

Christian earned his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While attending law school, he clerked for a United States District Judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and worked with respected Pittsburgh litigation firms.

Christian is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. His experience includes personal injury litigation, medical malpractice cases, criminal defense, DUI defense, civil litigation, trials, and appellate matters.

Raised in northeastern Pennsylvania, Christian has deep ties to the communities Francis Law serves. He lives in South Abington with his wife and three children. His local background and direct approach to client communication shape the firm's commitment to providing practical legal guidance, responsive service, and clear next steps for people dealing with serious injuries or criminal charges.

Christian has also been selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars and maintains active attorney status in Pennsylvania.

Raised in Minooka, Pennsylvania, Kyle brings a strong connection to the local community and a practical, results-driven approach to criminal defense, DUI representation, and high stakes personal injury matters.

Kyle earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2012. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Trish Corbett, where he gained firsthand insight into courtroom procedure, judicial decision-making, and litigation strategy.

Kyle later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Luzerne County before becoming a Deputy Assistant District Attorney in Lackawanna County, where he led the Motor Vehicle and DUI Unit. In that role, he handled a high volume of DUI and criminal matters and developed a reputation for detailed preparation, strong courtroom advocacy, and strategic case management.

Over the course of his prosecutorial career, Kyle handled a broad range of criminal matters, from summary offenses and misdemeanor charges to serious felony cases, including homicide prosecutions. He successfully secured multiple First-Degree Murder convictions, reflecting his ability to manage complex, high-stakes litigation and trial work.

Today, Kyle uses that prosecution-side experience to defend individuals facing DUI charges, assault allegations, drug offenses, motor vehicle charges, and felony criminal cases throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. His background gives clients insight into how criminal cases are investigated, charged, negotiated, and tried from both sides of the courtroom. He also utilizes his aggressive litigation skills to represent injured clients in their personal injury cases to help secure them the best possible outcomes.

Clients working with Kyle often want straightforward answers about what happens next, how serious the charges may be, and what options are available. His approach focuses on preparation, communication, and helping clients avoid preventable mistakes early in the process.

Raised in northeastern Pennsylvania and now living in Dunmore with his wife and two children, Kyle continues to serve clients throughout Scranton, South Abington, Wilkes-Barre, Lackawanna County, Luzerne County, and surrounding NEPA communities.
